A loan of $1,200 helped the purchase of food for her dairy farm.

Flordesa's story

Flordesa O. D. C. is married and is 40 years old. She has only an elementary education. She has one daughter. Flordesa lives with her husband. Their home is in the Caico zone in the Southwest of the Cercado province, in the Cochabamba department. Flordesa and her husband produce cruD. milk and sell all of their dairy products to a local dairy company to later be collected by PIL ANDINA [a Bolivian dairy company].
They live in modest conditions; their home has basic services. Their farm is on the same property. Flordesa is a woman who is very dedicated to her work. She, her husband and their daughter all get up very early every day to take care of the cows, which they do all day-the whole family participates. Flordesa is requesting this loan to buy general food, since in this time of shortage the price has increased considerably. This way, she will be able to maintain milk production and not see a decrease in her income, so that her income will remain stable. Her dream is for her daughter to at least finish her studies and then achieve a profession.
