A loan of $200 helped buying corn and firewood.

Reina Del Carmen's story

Reina is 22 years old and lives in San Francisco Gotera, in the department of Morazán, where she sells tortillas. Her family includes her husband and her two children, Ever, age one, and Keyri, age two. She runs her business three days a week in her home, and three days at the municipal market of San Francisco Gotera. She is requesting a loan to buy corn and firewood, since these are the raw materials used to prepare tortillas. With this loan, she will have greater resources at her disposal to operate her business. She dreams of making a great quantity of sales so that she can improve her economic situation. Her hope is to generate sufficient income so that she can support her children's education.
