Amigas Group's story

The 'Amigas del Bº Empalado Ari' committee is a group of ladies who decided to create a supportive committee. Each member feels that they are improving their lives They are currently in their 7th loan cycle.

One of the members is Blanca who makes confectionery. She makes sweet pastries such as 'media lunas' (a type of croissant), 'alfajores' (a traditional Arabic confection), 'pasta frolas' (a type of latticed fruit pie), cakes and other baked products..

Blanca sells her products from her home and also delivers them to some neighborhood grocery stores. She comments that her products are requested by her customers because of their good quality.

Blanca is requesting a loan to buy ingredients for making her sweet pastries such as flour, 'dulces de guayaba' (guava preserve), strawberries, cherries and other products.
