Josée Nathalie's story

Josée Nathalie H. was born July 27, 1975 in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. Married to Hervé Akossou, an officer, Nathalie is a mother of two school age children. Nathalie has lived with her family in Midombo, a neighborhood of Cotonou, for fourteen years. The couple works together to provide for the family. Nathalie only finished primary school so to make a living, she runs a business selling various products (sugar, canned sardines and tomatoes, milk, couscous, batteries, and toiletries, including soap and toilet paper, etc.) at Dantokpa, Benin's international market. Nathalie also stocks up in this market. She has been in business for thirteen years and has completely reimbursed the first loan provided through ALIDé. Faced with increasing demand, Nathalie wishes to increase stock and better serve her customers. This is the reason Nathalie is asking for a new loan.
