A loan of $300 helped additional feed for the animals.

Guadalupe's story

Guadalupe is 38 years old. She lives in the village of Locute in the district of Tambogrande. It is primarily a rural area with many small fruit farms and individuals who raise animals. Guadalupe lives with her husband and their three children in a home they own.

Guadalupe raises animals in the yard behind their home. She raises pigs, chickens, and ducks. These are all animals that can be raised in relatively small spaces within corrals. Guadalupe's husband owns a small plot of land on which he raises vegetables. He sells the vegetables himself in the local markets at retail prices.

The requested loan will be invested in additional feed for the animals. Guadalupe hopes to be able to fatten her animals up a bit more before the holiday season in order to take advantage of the better prices during the season. She has a good credit history and is well-respected in the community. Her primary goal is to provide greater opportunities and an education for her children.
