A loan of $725 helped to buy 20 sacks of fertilizer and 2,000 coffee plants.

Ricardo's story

Ricardo is 24 years old. He is a courageous single man who has two children: 5 year-old Yero and 3 year-old Alexis. They live together in their own home in the community of Sanchirio del Palomar (central Peruvian jungle). This young and responsible father works hard on his land. His main crops are bananas and coffee. He mentions that they have been making a good profit for two years since his crops, during the agricultural seasons, are the best in the area.

With training, Ricardo has managed to achieve good coffee beans, while his bananas provide him with stability as he harvests them every 15 days and then sells them in the town's central market. For this reason, in the future he would like to buy more land to which he can apply everything that he has learned.

This is Ricardo's second loan with MFP and he hopes to continue getting ahead in life together with his community bank. He will use his loan to buy 20 sacks of organic fertilizer and 2,000 coffee plants for his nursery. He will use them to renew his plantation crops.
