A loan of $375 helped to buy 5 bags of compost.

Diana's story

Diana who is 28 years old lives with her partner Edgar, 29 years old, and their two sons, Luis, 11, and Darwin, 1, in their own house in the community of Sanchirio (central Peruvian jungle). She is a courageous woman, constantly working to care for their 3 hectares of agricultural land and has been doing so for 12 years. Their main crops are coffee and bananas. After each harvest they are sold in the community cooperative and every 15 days, the bananas are sold in the central city market. In her free time, Diana works in other farmland as a laborer because as she says, “she likes to be active". For that reason, she wants to raise capital to buy more agricultural land and extend her sowing. It is the first credit with MFP, and she is happy to belong to the most respected communal bank in her area. This is why she has already thought about investing the loan in the purchase of 5 bags of compost for her coffee crops.
