Fortunata's story

Fortunata, of 31 years old, is married to Nilo, of 44 years old. The both of them have two children: Noralei of 16 and Jair of 10 years old. The three of them live together as one big family in their own home, located in the locality of Puente Paucartambo. Since she was young, she worked in agriculture. Her main cultivations are coffee and citric plants. For 10 years, Fortunata was able to acquire many things, such as the construction of her residence with good quality materials, all thanks to her hard labour. With time, she gathered together the necessary capital to open a business, selling groceries, sweets, and beverages. In only 4 years, it was enough time to offer the inhabitants of her locality excellent service and above all great prices. This has led her to increase her earnings on a daily basis. Nowadays, Fortunata sells her fruits to the capital but without disregarding her other business, in which she has planned on investing more money in the improvement of its infrastructure. This is her eighth credit with MFP and proudly retells all of the inconveniences that has happened to her this past year. Thanks to the support of her communal bank, she has been able to confront them without any large problems. From this credit, she plans on purchasing various crates of soft drinks and beer, in addition to sweets and other products with which to stock her business.
