A loan of $300 helped purchase of thread, fabric, and zippers for manufacturing bedspreads.

Tula's story

Tula is a charismatic 46-year-old woman. She is separated and lives with her three children in her own home. Tula is a seamstress who is very skilled in mending clothes such as pants, skirts, and blouses. Everyday she is overloaded with work since her clients always seek her services, but even in these circumstances Tula always strives to make her sewing work impeccable so that she never has to face a shortage of clients. Above all, she gives priority to the timely completion of her orders.

What Tula likes best about her work is that she is able to do it from home which allows her to care for her daughters who are already growing up. She has been in this line of work for over 20 years, and she is very passionate about it.

In the future, Tula would really like to set up a store in her home in order to improve the quality of life for herself and her daughters. This is her 16th loan with MFP, and she is very committed to be prompt with repayment. In her communal bank, she is someone who is very respected for her commitment to her work and to the group. She will use the loan in order to purchase thread, zippers, and fabric since she already has plans to manufacture bedspreads.
