A loan of $925 helped a member to buy crockery for crockery selling business.

Nusrat's Group's story

Nusrat has applied for a loan for the 2nd time from Kiva partner Asasah. She wants to financially assist her husband in his crockery business. With the loan, her husband will buy more crockery to sell in his shop. His shop is located in the market and Nusrat is hopeful that an investment will bring more profits for her husband.

Nusrat lives in a small city in Pakistan called Jaranwala. It is known for its agriculture industry. She lives there in a 2 roomed brick house in the area named Mughalpura. She moved here 3 years ago. She is the mother of 2 children. Her daughter is studying in kindergarten and her son is too young to attend to school.

Nusrat has a buffalo at her home. She takes care of it and sells its milk to her neighboring clients. She also does sewing works to supplement the income of her family. She learned this art from her mother before marriage and it is now becomes a good source of making extra income.
