A loan of $475 helped purchase 10 sacks of fertilizer.

Felicita's story

Felicita, who is 44 years old, lives with Edgardo, who is 50 years old. They have three children together: Joel, who is 20, Wilder, who is 18, and Gisela, who is 16. The family all lives together in their own home in the Puente Paucartambo community (central region of the peruvian rainforest). The dedication she brings to her work is the most important for Felicita, since thanks to the time she spends with her crops, she can have a better harvest in each field. She has been working in the noble field of agriculture for 15 years now. In all this time, she has accumulated much knowledge and she is happy for it. Her principal crops are coffee and plantains, which she sells in the same place, where after each harvest she boxes up and sells to the wholesale customers who come on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Felicita is very pleased with the results she has obtained. Because of it, she wants to tackle planting more products like avocados and citrus fruits. This is her fifth loan with MFP and she is very grateful. She says that thanks to the support of her community bank, she was able to advance. She plans to use the funds from the loan to purchase 10 sacks of fertilizer, the value of which oscillates around 90 soles. With this fertilizer, she can maintain her coffee production levels, keeping high quality.
