A loan of $1,150 helped to buy different kinds of fabric and colored threads to create embroideries.

Fabio's story

Fabio F. is a young businessman. He is 31 years old and lives in his parents' home in San Pablo neighborhood. He is the oldest of three siblings.

Fabio tells us that he has worked for a long time for other companies who make garments and embroideries. However, over time and bearing in mind the knowledge which he had acquired as regards the production process, working machines and serving customers, Fabio decided to set up his own small business. Helped by family members who provided him with space in their homes, he was able to set up an office and a workshop. He acquired his first machine for making embroideries which was originally enough to cover the first jobs that he carried out in his own business.

However, for some years he couldn't manage with the orders which he had and so, through a lot of hard work, he acquired a new, more sophisticated machine which was able to produce 10 embroidery designs in 10 minutes. In this way he is currently able to satisfy his customers who work for a number of well-known companies.

Fabio loves creating his own embroidery designs since it allows him to offer a range of suggestions to all his customers.

He says “Having a loan is always good because it allows me to acquire different raw materials which I need to fill my orders on time and thereby provide quality to my customers”.
