Rocio's story

Rocío is 18 years old and lives in the town of San Pedro de Cajas with her mother and 6 siblings, whom she loves and appreciates very much. This young girl, skilled with a good future ahead, studies at the Institute of Fine Arts in the area, where she is learning to paint beautiful pictures. Art is in her blood, as her family is dedicated to the craft. Her main activity is the embroidery of costumes, skirts and tablecloths. For the past year, she has already begun her own business and asserts it is going very well and every day has more orders. Now she wants to work very hard to expand her business and raise the money necessary to pursue a career in foods. This is her first loan with MFP and she is sure, thanks to her community bank, she will achieve her goals. With the loan she will purchase fabrics, yarn, and lace, the necessary inputs to produce the 35 skirts she was asked to make.
