A loan of $450 helped To buy thread and cotton for his next weavings.

Germain's story

Germain, 36, is a single, hard working man. He lives with his mother and two siblings in a rented house located in San Pedro de Cajas. From a very young age he has been a craftsman, for about fifteen years. His main weavings are: ponchos, blankets and sets of living room furniture covers.

Twice a month he travels to various cities in the country to sell his items at good prices. This is how he has managed to secure a large customer base as time has gone by. He is now saving up to buy a house of his own and to equip himself to be able to go all out on his designs.

This is his 4th loan with MFP. All this time he has used all the help he’s gotten from the communal bank well. He is sure that with the enthusiasm every group member displays they will get ahead in time.

He will use the loan he’ll get to buy thread and cotton for his next weavings.
