A loan of $1,300 helped a member to purchase a cow.

Salima's Group's story

Salima I. is the treasurer of this group. She is a 60 years old widow. Salima has raised three sons; all of them are working in Russia. In order to make money Salima breeds farm animals. She has eight sheep, a cow and a calf. Her grandchildren help her with that activity. Reselling some farm animals after fattening she makes 5000 soms per month. That profit makes it possible for her to receive treatment in the hospital. With money received from the loan Salima wants to purchase a cow, in order to start selling dairy products. In the future Salima wants to start repairing her house.
