Melissa Jacqueline's story

Melissa is 25 years old. She is married and lives with her husband and son in Mórrope district, an agricultural area which is made up of a number of villages which are considered rural areas. It is in Lambayeque province, forty-five minutes from Chiclayo.

Melissa raises and sells animals. She has been doing this for two years. She has a pen behind her house where she raises young animals. She usually sells them to traders who visit her area. She also owns a small grocery store in her home where she offers her neighbors a number of basic household products and groceries.

Melissa would like to expand her animal raising business by acquiring more animals and balanced feed. She would also like to acquire more products for her grocery store. With this investment she would like to increase her income and help her husband to get the family ahead in life. She is quite a responsible and home-loving woman.
