A loan of $725 helped to buy more natural products with which to stock her store.

Norma's story

Norma is 38 years old. She is a very humble and hard-working woman. She lives in her own home with her husband, 39 year-old Efraín, and her 2 beloved children, 8 year-old Sofia and 6 year-old Jairo. Her children are her main motivation to continue with her hard work. Norma's business is selling natural products. She takes advantage of the fact that she has had a very well-known grocery store in the town of San Francisco for a number of years and she offers her customers products which are always quickly sold out since she knows very well how to convince her customers to buy and how to encourage them to take more than one product.

What Norma most likes about her work is advising her customers on what product will best treat their ailments. She has been in this activity for 2 years and she considers the most difficult part of her work to be educating her customers on the importance of her products. Even so, she continues resolute in her aims.

Over time, Norma would like to open a store where she sells nothing but her natural products. This is her 12th loan with MFP. She hopes to be very punctual with her repayments since she would like to be able to obtain more loans in the future. She is a very active member of her community bank. She will use her 2,000 nuevos soles to buy more natural products with which she hopes to better stock her store.
