A loan of $1,975 helped a member purchase vegetables for her business.

Trebol De La Suerte Group's story

This group is called ‘Trébol de la Suerte’ (Four Leaf Clover) and is located in the state of Morelos in Mexico. This community is known for its almost year round temperate climate, as well as the haciendas which were important settlements in the colonial era. Growing sugar cane was, and continues to be, the main economic activity in the state.

‘Trébol de la Suerte’ is made up of eight members, one of whom is María del Jazmín Sánchez. She started selling vegetables one year ago and is currently requesting a loan to stock her business. She will purchase more vegetables to obtain a greater variety.

María is 32 years old and has completed three years of high school. She is single and has no children. Her customers are happy with María because she can provide them with everything they need. María is happy to receive this loan because she will be able to expand her business. With the earnings that she makes María plans to purchase materials in order to start building a store in her house so that when she has children she won’t need to leave home to work.
