A loan of $375 helped to purchase supplies for a beekeeping business.

José De Los Santos's story

José de los Santos is 45 years old, married, and he lives with his wife and children in Caracucho village, Mórrope district, which is a rural area inhabited by humble folk who farm and raise livestock. It's located just over an hour from the city Chiclayo. José works as a beekeeper, and he has some hives in a field near his home. At various times throughout the year, he extracts the honey the bees produce, and he offers it for sell on a monthly basis. Because this business is his primary source of income, he does all he can to keep it going. José has requested a loan of 1,000 Nuevos Soles, which he plans to invest in beekeeping supplies such as artificial wax and wooden frames which will be used in his business. His greatest wish is to continue to advance as a beekeeper and to give his family a better quality of life.
