A loan of $375 helped to buy beauty products.

Lola's story

Lola is 50 years old. She lives in her own house, along with her husband and 3 children. For the past 10 years, Lola has been selling beauty products. She offers these products through catalogs to her friends and neighbors who know her.

A little after noon everyday, she begins collecting payments from her customers; to do this, she goes door to door. She also uses this time to get more orders. What she likes most about her business is that she has customers who are very responsible with their payments. This makes her business very profitable, so she is very motivated and tries to sell as much as possible every day. Eventually, she hopes to have a business selling antichuchos [shish kebabs of beef heart], so that she can increase her income.

This is her first loan with Microfinanzas Prisma, and she promises to make her payments punctually, as she would like to have other loans. She has good references from her communal bank and she hopes to join the group. With the loan, she will buy more beauty products so that she can fill all of the orders she has.
