This village loan group consists of eight members. They are living in Chong Preaek village in Kandal province. Mrs. Chan C., 44 years old, was selected as the village bank president by its members of this village loan group. Each member of this village will use their money to support a different purpose.

Mrs. Chan C. is a farmer who owns a plot of land to grow flowers. She does not have enough money to buy a machine to pump the water to grow her flowers. She would like to ask for a loan to buy a water pump to support her flower growing business. Her husband, Mr. Hong Vuthy, 48 years old, works as motorbike taxi driver. He is able to earn some income to support his family. This couple has six children: One is seamstress in a garment factory, one is clothes seller, three are attending in the local school and the last one is 4 years old and not in school yet.
