Teresita M. is 53 years old and married. She supports her family by operating a fishing/fish vending business. She lives in Purok Ipil-ipil, Brgy Bulanon, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
She has been a member of NWTF-Project Dungganon since 1996 and has improved her living conditions with the help of her loans from NWTF and through her own efforts. By working hard in her fishing/fish vending business, she is gradually making her family more economically stable. She now earns an average monthly income of 8,000 Philippines pesos (PHP).
Teresita is now borrowing PHP 19,500 so that she could purchase materials for fishing. This will be her 16th loan from NWTF-Project Dungganon. Her previous loan of PHP 19,500, which she paid off well within its term, was just another step in her journey toward economic freedom.
Teresita aspires to elevate her family's living conditions and ensure their future well-being by following the Dungganon (a Hiligaynon word that means honorable) way.
