Hope To God Ii Group's story

Salone Microfinance Trust (SMT), a partner of Kiva.org in Makeni, northern Sierra Leone, is very pleased to present to you members of the “Hope To God II” group. These are small-scale entrepreneurs who have come to SMT/Kiva lenders for a loan of SLL 500,000 for each in order to invest in their businesses.

Adama K. is the leader of this group. Adama was born in Gbintin village. She is 29 years old. Adama is married to a businessman and they have three children: two in primary school and one in secondary school. Adama sells palm oil (the most popular cooking oil), nut oil (lesser in value to palm-oil), garri (fast food made out of cassava roots), etc. With the help of this loan, Adama will buy palm oil, nut oil, garri, etc. at wholesale to add to her business.
