Yun's story

Yun T., 40, is married and resides with her husband and three children in Takeo Province, Cambodia, an area known for pre-Angkorean temples. T. produces traditional silk, earning an income of about USD 2 per day. Her husband is a farmer, earning an income of USD 1 per day. One of her children is employed at a factory, earning an income of USD 2 per day to help cover the family expenses.

T. has to spend USD 40 on food, USD 5 on electricity and water supplies, and USD 90 on other necessary expenses every month. T. is requesting a loan of USD 500 to purchase more raw silk to produce silk products. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
