Som M., 67, is married and lives with her husband in Takeo province. The couple earns about $1.50 a day by running a farm, and receives help from its three children, two of whom work in garment factories while the third works in construction. Som M. has applied for a loan for US $700 to buy a motorbike that her children will use to commute to work.
