A loan helped a member to buy animals for an animal sales business.

Allah Rakhi's Group's story

Allah Rakhi lives in a small city called Kot Radha Kishen which is located in Punjabi, Pakistan, famous for its agriculture and dairy industry. She lives there in a 2 room brick house with her family. She moved here 15 years ago. She is 44 years old, married to M. N. and a mother of 4 daughters. Allah Rakhi is aware of the importance of education but unfortunately, she couldn’t educate her children due to financial constraints.

Her husband is a private entrepreneur and involved in an animal sales business. He buys animals from animal markets on cheaper rates, raises them up and sells them to butchers. He has been doing this business for over 10 years and it is working well for him.

Allah Rakhi has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her husband’s business. With the loan, he will buy young animals and improves his sales. Allah Rakhi is hopeful that an investment will take her husband’s business to a more profitable position and help him to improve the financial condition of his family.

Allah is a regular loan user of Asasah and this is her 3rd loan application. In previous loan years, she has maintained a good credit rating and never missed ameeting.
