A loan of $1,175 helped a member to buy costume jewelry sets to resell.

Ruqqiya's Group's story

Ruqqiya has applied for a loan for the 6th time from Kiva partner Asasah. This time she has acquired a loan to financially assist her husband in his jewelry business. He is a goldsmith by profession and operates his shop in the market. He sells costume as well as gold and silver jewelry to his clients. Her home is located in Kot Mianiayaan which is a residential area of the city. She is the mother of a son and a daughter. Both of them are getting their education. Her daughter is studying in 7th while her son is in the 10th class. She is 52 years old and is married to A. A.. A. has been in this business for more than 10 years and keeps himself updated about the latest and most fashionable jewelry designs in the market. Ruqqiya is hopeful that her husband will be able to make positive changes to his business by investing money in his business.
