A loan of $725 helped buy spinach seeds and bags of organic fertilizer for the gladioli plants.

Albina's story

Albina is 40 years old and lives with Rolando, also 40. They have three children but only two of them (Cleris, 17, and Fiorella, 7) live with them in their own house, located in the town of Yarok.

Her work is devoted to agriculture: the planting of gladioli, peas and vegetables provides her with economic stability. Albina has over 7 hectares (approximately 18 acres) of arable land, where she is constantly planting, particularly after each harvest.

She sells her products in her town’s central market, and when seasonal demand is high, she travels to the capital of the country to obtain higher profits.

But what she loves most is to witness their children’s achievements. Her eldest son Whitson is pursuing higher studies in the capital, so each month she sends him a considerable sum of money. Later she wants to invest in their other children’s education, as she believes this to be "the best gift you can offer".

Albina is a very responsible woman, which she demonstrates at each MFP installment. This is her third loan with the community bank, and she is satisfied with the group’s unity and solidarity. She will use the requested loan to buy spinach seeds, as well as organic fertilizer for her gladioli plantings, which are in high demand this month.
