Los Robles Group's story

The communal bank “Los Robles” (the oak trees) began its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the main office in Senkata. This is a new group that has gotten together to receive financing services, training, and health care. It is made up of eight women.
The businesses that they are engaged in are: knitting, sales of recycled bottles, a convenience store, braided rugs, machine-knit sweaters, cattle sales, sales of beds and shawls, knitted sweaters, and handicrafts made from Vicuna thread.

The president of the communal bank, Victoria, is the mother of two children. She tells us that this is her first cycle as part of the communal bank “Los Robles”, thanks to an invitation from her friends, who were themselves invited to be part of the bank. Victoria sells sweaters and alpaca shawls. Thanks to her sister she began this business ten years ago when she was very young She is a street merchant in the 12th of October and la Ceja area.
When she was asked what she likes about Pro Mujer she says that she enjoys working with the women.
