Amazonas Del Sur Group's story

This group is called ‘Amazonas del Sur’. They are located in the state of Morelos in Mexico. The community is known for the Amacuzac river, which becomes plentiful in the rainy season and is an important resevoir for the community because it allows them to have two harvests a year.

The group is made up of 10 members, one of whom is María Yesenia J. P.. She began her business making cheese five years ago. She is currently requesting a loan to purchase essential ingredients like salt, whitener and rennet to make cheese.

María is 23 years old, has completed three years of high school, is single and has no children. Her customers are happy with her because her cheese is very tasty, and she treats her customers with kindness. María is happy requesting this loan because it will increase her cheese production, and she hopes that this will in turn expand her business. With her earnings she hopes to purchase enough meat to re-open her butcher’s shop. Previously, she was studying, and she did not have enough time for it and had to close it down.

In this group: Sandra, Maribel, Ma Yesenia, Elvira, Karen Berenice, Paulina, Maricela, Maricela*, Emilia, Clara
