A loan of $1,125 helped plant health care.

Celia Del Socorro's story

Celia del Socorro V. V. is 37 years old, married, and her husband works as a security guard helping his family with the financial expenses that they incur. They have three children – two are adults and are university students and the youngest is in high school. The parents have been farmers for more than 12 years and have had problems with drought and pests. It was with the help of her husband that she bought a small piece of land where the crops are now located.

She is requesting a loan for her business to provide good plant health care that favors production, increases crop sales and continually improves the family finances. With the loan, they will purchase fertilizers, fungicides and plant supplies that will allow them to enter new vegetable markets in the future where the crops are widely consumed.
