A loan of $1,075 helped to buy 20 sacks of fertilizer and contract laborers to help her with the sowing of her crops.

Margot's story

Margot is 25 years old. She has been married for six years to 26 year-old Yuber. The couple have 2 chldren who they are educating with a lot of love since 6 year-old Melsi and 18 month-old Luciana are her greatest treasure. They live in their own home which is located in the town of Casacoto. The support of her husband Yuber is vital for her since with the profits which they obtain in selling their fruit wholesale in the north of the country, they can feed and educate their children and this offers them a stable economic situation. Margot works tending her land where she has been growing potatoes and peas for the last 5 years. After each harvest she sells her produce in the town's central market. With the profits which she makes she is able to provide her children with a better life.

She is also saving to set up a large-scale fruit business where she can supply salespeople from all over Peru. Margot is sure that, with the experience her husband has, she will achieve her goal.

This is her first loan from MFP and she is sure that she made a good decision. She is grateful to the members of her community bank for having offered her this opportunity to get ahead. She will use her loan to buy 20 sacks of organic fertilizer and will invest in paying the salary of the laborers who will help her.
