In this Group: Luz, Lorena, Lourdes, María, Claudia, Dionicia, Nilda, Dina, Maria, Graciela, Clara, Fermina, Lorena, Manuela, Gladyz, Saturnina, Sonia
Tesapeara is the name of this excellent group of women which was established on 14th of January 2009 thanks to the current Managing Director, Mrs Luz R., who has her own hairdressing salon.

Once she had received advice about how the program works, Luz managed to gather together 17 women who are now happily working on their 6th loan cycle as a united and supportive group within the program.

Luz works as a hairdresser which is a good business because she has regular customers who visit her weekly. She comments that the work pays well but that it is very sacrificing especially owing to the pains in her arms which she has after having worked so many years in her profession. Everything she has done has been with a great desire to help her family to get ahead in the best way possible.

She is requesting this loan to buy products which she uses in her hairdressing salon and also to cover some family expenses. All the women in this group carry out business activities to make money and help each other in order to achieve the common objectives which they all have within the group and with Fundación Paraguaya.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
