A loan of $900 helped to buy a dairy cow.

Marisol's story

Marisol is 42 years old. She lives with her son in her brother's house. She has been in the business of raising, fattening and selling cows and bulls for 5 years. She works very hard. After a period of several months she hopes that her animals will be the right weight and ready to sell. She also obtains income when she hires out her animals. She hires out her bull, for example, during the sowing season so that people can use it to plow. Another business activity which she pursues is selling the milk which her cow produces. Every morning, after milking her cow, she takes the milk to sell in the market. Her great wish is to be have more animals so that she can increase her working capital. This is Marisol's 8th loan with MFP. She is happy to know that she has financial support and likes being a member of her community bank because the members are all responsible people who are very supportive of one another. She is grateful to the people who will fund her loan because it will be very useful to her in making progress in her business. She will use her loan to invest in buying a dairy cow.
