A loan of $2,550 helped a member virtual top ups for calls.

Las Aguilas Group's story

For Feliza, work has always been a part of her life. One of her latest jobs was in a restaurant. This is where she met a friend who offered to sell her his public telephone business as a going concern. The offer was interesting. She didn't think twice and, with her savings, she bought the business and began to work. It was a good decision because the business already had a customer base. The only thing she had to do was improve the service and offer a few other things such as the sale of phone cards, virtual top ups, etc.

In the end it turned out to be a good investment. She feels happy because her income is a great help for supporting her family. What she would like now is to move her business to the area where she lives as it is difficult for her to commute. What is more, she would save on rent since where she lives the premises are cheaper. She will use her loan to invest in top ups for cell phones. This makes her good profits. Her group is called “Las Águilas” (The Eagles). They have been members of EDAPROSPO for many years and she is particularly grateful because she has seen her business grow every day.
