Tsevelmaa's story

Tsevelmaa J. is 57 years old and lives with her 24 year old daughter in Bayanhongor province, Mongolia. She and her daughter live in a ger, which is a traditional Mongolian nomadic housing tent. Her daughter is handicapped and receives a disability pension of 53,800 MNT per month.

Tsevelmaa operates a meat trading business in her town. She sells a variety of meats to her customers at a rented stall in the local market. Tsevelmaa started her business in 2000 after retiring from her career at a construction company. Her business currently operates at a stable level and she continues to make progress.

She hopes to grow her business in the future and her continued success is very important as she must support her daughter, who is disabled. Tsevelmaa is requesting a 600,000 MNT loan to purchase more meat at a wholesale price.
