Teresita's story

Teresita A. is from the village of Mangidkid Plaridel, Misamis Occidental. She is 52 years old and married with two adult children. To make a living, Teresita owns a retail store selling daily use products such as biscuits, candies, snacks, canned goods, shampoo, soap and toothpaste. She has been engaged in her business for over two years and earns approximately 3300 PHP a month.

In 2008, Teresita joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. She has successfully repaid a previous loan of 30000 PHP from GDMPCand is requesting a new loan of 5000 PHP to purchase additional products to sell. This will be the third loan taken out by Teresita from GDMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to supplement the family's income.
