Zayda Kattia's story

Zayda is a member of the comunal bank, “Azangarinas Valientes,” or ‘Courageous Azangarians,’ located in the Azangaro province of Azangaro, Puno department. She is 24 and single with one son. She completed higher education.

Zayda has worked with the Manuela Ramos Movement for three years. The first loan was for 500.00 nuevos soles, which she used to increase the capital in her pork selling business.

She is requesting a new loan of 500.00 nuevos soles, money that she will invest in merchandise for her business.

Her dream is to own a car and her own home and to open a pharmacy.

What she likes best about the comunal bank are the punctuality, solidarity and interchange of ideas among the members.
