A loan of $550 helped to buy animal feed and fertilizer.

Maria Exilda's story

Maria is fifty-two years old. She is married and has two children. The family owns their own home. They live in the village Sector Medio in the district of Tambogrande in the region of Piura. It is a highly agricultural region in which many residents manage small mango or lime plantations and raise animals.

Both Maria and her husband inherited small properties from their parents. These are currently planted with mango and rice and her husband works in their fields. Additionally, Maria cares for a small herd of cattle at the home. The cows provide milk which she sells to the municipality for local governmental programs.

This will be Maria’s first loan with Edpyme Alternativa. She plans to use the funds to purchase additional feed for her animals and additional fertilizer in order to maximize the crop yield on the family’s properties.

Maria is a dedicated mother with big dreams for her family and children.
