A loan of $375 helped purchase trout to sell.

Rocio's story

Rocío is 23 years old and lives with her son at the home of her relatives. For the past two years, she has been selling trout that she obtains from a local fish farm. She buys them in bulk and then takes them to Lima to sell so that she can generate income for herself. Her mother helps her with the business by looking for the best supplier that can provide her with the greatest amount of fish. Since this type of fish has high nutritional value, it is in great demand. Rocío considers this business to be very profitable, so she wants to generate more income.

This is her first loan with MFP. Rocío is pleased to know that she has financial support. She also enjoys being part of her Communal Bank because all of the members are responsible and supportive. Rocío thanks everyone responsible for approving her loan request since the funds will be useful in advancing her business. The loan she is requesting will be used to buy more trout that she can bring with her to Lima.
