A loan of $725 helped to buy more fuel to make more profit.

Karina's story

Karina is 32 years old. She is a very sincere and hard-working woman who lives in her own home with her 2 beloved daughters, Neyla who is 8 and Sofia who is 4. Her children are her main reason for making all her efforts. In the town of Kimbiri, Karina has a small stall where she sells fuel to passing cars. Her stall is very busy and generally she manages to sell all her fuel. She has been in this business for 8 years and it has provided her with enough profits to feed her daughters and pay for their studies. However, she feels that the money she makes will not be enough to cover the expenses of her daughters' secondary education. For this reason, she would like to set up a store with which she can increase her income. She really enjoys chatting to her customers. She enjoys it a lot but it is very difficult for her to stay in her business all day since the smell of fuel is very strong and it ends up making her feel sick. Even so, she doesn't flag in her desire to get ahead and she is ready to work hard to do so.

This is her second loan from MFP. She knows that she has to make all her repayments on time and she is ready to do so since she doesn't want to cause problems for the other members of her community bank, being a responsible woman. She will use the 2,000 nuevos soles she is requesting to buy more fuel to make better profits.
