A loan of $1,100 helped to buy beans, sugar, oil and corn.

Jorge Alberto's story

Jorge is 33 years old and lives in Santa Elena, Department of Usulutan. He sells basic staples and lives with his wife and two daughters, ages 6 and 5, who are economically dependent on him. This business started 4 years ago with the idea of investing their savings in a store that would offer their neighbors all the necessary products for their homes. The store is open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Jorge now needs to invest in his business and is requesting a loan to buy basic food products as his customers demand sugar, beans, and corn on a daily basis. Increasing supplies will help keep his customers satisfied and at the same time may increase his income. Jorge's dream is to own a big business that is able to serve many customers and offer all kinds of goods, to improve the quality of life for his family.
