A loan of $1,100 helped to buy lingerie clothing.

Dina's story

Dina is part of the Communal Bank, "La Hermandad," in the neighborhood of Maipú. She sells lingerie, sportswear, toys, and herbal medicines in a booth at a fair in her neighborhood, which is installed in 3 locations. She has been working 4 days a week including all weekends for 18 years. Dina also manufactures products for the defined seasons with her sewing machine. For example, on national holidays she makes typical costumes and for Christmas she makes tablecloths and napkins.

Dina shares her position at the fair with her daughter who sells dolls. With this loan Dina will buy lingerie. Her dream is to have more customers to increase her sales.

For Dina, Fondo Esperanza has been a great help for low interest loans and educational workshops, not only for business but also for values and personal relationships.

Maipú is a municipality located east of Santiago, capital of Chile. Designated as the largest municipality of Chile, it is called the cradle of the country due to major historical events that ocurred on those lands during the time of independence.
