Emelson's story

Emelson P. is from the village of Nabbotuan, Solana, Cagayan. He is 34 years old. Emelson is married and has 3 school-aged children. To make a living, Emelson raises crops primarily planting and harvesting rice for sale. Emelson has been engaged in his business for over 20 years and earns approximately 10000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2007, Emelson joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and his ability to engage in business activities. Emelson has successfully repaid a previous loan of 25,000 PHP from ASKI. Emelson is requesting a new loan of 30000 PHP which will be used to purchase fertilizers such as manure and for the preparation of land. This will be the 5th loan taken out by Emelson from ASKI. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve and expand his business.
