A loan of $650 helped to purchase young animals and feed for an animal raising and sales business.

Santiago's story

Santiago is 36 years old, and a father. He lives with his wife and children in the Campiña Compuerta Marcelo sector, which is part of the Illimo district, an agricultural district in the province of Lambayeque, 45 minutes from the city of Chiclayo. He has worked in agriculture since a young age. Currently he raises young animals, especially sheep, in pens located near his home. He feeds them grain and wild grass until they are grown, at which point he offers them for sell to the dealers who frequent the area where he lives. He also works as a laborer in local fields. Santiago would like to expand his business by purchasing more animals and feed. He would also like to make some improvements to his corrals. For this reason, he has requested a loan of 1,800 Nuevos Soles from Edpyme Alternativa. Santiago is an entrepreneur with a strong desire for success. His greatest wish is to grow his business and give his family a better quality of life.
