Mujeres Activas Group's story

The “Mujeres Activas” (Active Women) Committee was formed by several neighbors from the city of Mariano Roque Alonso who decided to join together. All of the committee members have developed independent businesses, such as preparing and selling fast food. The members who make up this group are very close and work together in their activities to strengthen their friendship.

Sra. Roció is one of the committee members who makes trinkets. She buys the accessories and produces bracelets, necklaces, earrings, embroidered slippers, and other items. All of her works are greatly admired and in great demand among her customers. With the loans that she will receive along with the other committee members, Roció will buy accessories based on the orders and preferences of her customers. Upon receiving this new loan she plans to buy sequins, beads, artificial flowers, slippers, and other items. She has a very close family, which consists of two children and a husband who works in construction.
