Sop Sa Jëkër Group's story

The SOP SA JËKËR solidarity group was created March 28, 2008. It is composed of nine women with ties of kinship. As their main activity, they run small businesses. The group is part of the Banc Villageois MONTAGNE NORD2. Mrs. Fatou D., standing on the right in the photo, is the group leader. She is 22 years old, married, and the mother of two children in her care. She sells various items such as fabrics and kitchen utensils. With her loan, she plans to increase her stocks of merchandise and bolster her profits. Her goal is to boost her savings and help take care of the family.
