A loan of $4,200 helped a member purchase Omnilife products.

Vida Plena (Cuenca) Group's story

The "Vida Plena" [full life] Communal Bank is made up of 13 women and one man, who sell natural products, and have thereby improved their household incomes. They live in different places in the city of C., which is known for its beautiful landscapes, its four flowing rivers, its great gastronomic variety, its people, and its culture.

Mrs. Martha P. lives in the Uncovia area of C.. This is her first loan and she was invited by her mother-in-law. She is 18 years old, lives with her common-law husband, and has a 3-month-old daughter. Her husband works as a security guard. They don't have their own house, so she lives with her in-laws.

Our associate, for the moment, is caring for her daughter, but with her loan she is going to start selling natural products such as Omnilife products. Her goal is to improve her situation with her business.

Mrs. Carmen Pérez lives by the station at the top of the mountain. She is 38 years old, single, and has a 14 year old son who is studying at a school in the city. She does not have her own house, so she lives with her parents and shares the household expenses.

This is her first loan through the communal bank. She was invited by her sister to be part of this group. She raises animals such as sheep, hens, and guinea pigs. She also owns dairy cows, and the milk is sold to mobile milk distributors. She is going to invest her first loan in starting a business selling natural products such as Omnilife products. Her dream is to have her own house.
