A loan of $1,200 helped to purchase a dairy cow.

Betty's story

Betty is 36 years old and she is married with Efrain. Together they have 2 children (aged 10 and 6 years old). It is a family who has very limited financial resources but they are very close to one another. They have a small and humble home that has only 2 rooms. One of the rooms is used by the parents and the other by the children but the home is not comfortable for anyone.

Betty lives in the city of Cochabamba within the community of Esquilan Grande. Her primary business is the sale of raw milk, product that she sells to another woman who makes fresh cheese from it. Her husband works every day of the week as a construction worker. They both work very hard to provide their children with a better quality of life.

The loan will be destined to purchase another dairy cow. She will be able to increase the volume of milk this way and she will see an increase in her income.

Among Betty's goals and dreams is to start building a new house to afford greater comforts to her children and her husband. Another one of her great dreams is to have a dairy farm with 20 heads of cattle.
