A loan of $200 helped to buy cement and toilets to improve her school's facilities.

Elsa's story

Elsa is 50 years old. She is a teacher and is separated from the father of her 3 children. She lives in her own home which she has converted into a learning center. After having worked in state schools for many years, she retired and started leading a quiet life at home. This is how she had the initiative to set up her own school in her home.

Since then she has been very happily teaching 3 – 5 year-old children with whom she plays and sings children's songs. What she likes most about teaching is giving classes which are customized according to the character of each child. This is how she has gained the trust of the children's parents who leave their children with her with confidence. Initially her school wasn't very busy but thanks to the hard work which she has put in, today parents sign their children up quickly.

In the future she would like to expand the infrastructure of her school. This is her 16th loan from MFP and she knows that she must make her repayments in a timely manner. She is ready to do this as she has in the past. She will use the loan to buy cement and children's toilets to renovate her school's facilities.
